Conn McDunphy has been crowned the ‘Elite Men’s National TT Champion’ in Co. Limerick this morning.
The Kilcock cyclist claimed the title from Nicolas Roche, who won silver, and Lindsay Watson, who was back in third.
McDunphy, who has been based in France this year with CC Nogent Oise, recorded a time of 26:29 on the 22.4km course at Knockaderry in the Newcastle West Wheelers promotion.
That was just two seconds faster than Roche (Team Sunweb), with Watson (Powerhouse Sport) in 3rd some 22 seconds off McDunphy’s winning time
