Kilcock duo named on Kildare Minor panel for 2020

Kilcock Gaa will have two representatives on the 2020 Kildare Minor Football panel after Sean O’Sullivan and Shane Farrell were both named on the panel in the last week.

Both players were part of this years u16 panel, with Scoil Dara student Farrell captaining the side in the Gerry Reilly Cup. The highly rated midfielder, who can also play in the forwards, is sure to be an important cog in the wheel as the Lilywhites look to retain their Leinster Minor Championship title.

O’Sullivan, who attends Maynooth Post Primary School/ Community College and impressed from centre forward as the school beat St Benildus over the mid term, will also be looking to make a big impact in the white jersey over the next twelve months.

Both players are currently involved with the Kilcock u17s and were prominent as the boys in green and gold beat Sallins in the first round.

Kilcock Camogie star named on 2018 Kildare Minor panel

2017 Extra Time Sport ‘Sports person of the year nominee Caoimhe Sheil has been named on the Kildare Minor Camogie panel for 2018.

Sheil has been joined on the panel by her Kilcock team mate Fiona Kyne.

Kildare Minor Camogie Panel 2018:

Kildare play Derry in their first All-Ireland Minor Championship match on 17th February in Derry.

The Management team is Tony Maher, Breda Wall, Charlie Keegan and Mary Coughlan

Kilcock’s Nairn named on Kildare Minor team

Kildare minor football team to face Carlow

Talented Kilcock midfielder Findlay Nairn has been named at wing forward for the Kildare minor footballers’ Leinster Football Championship round one clash with Carlow.

Nairn and his team mates must travel to Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow this Saturday where they will look to clear the first hurdle with victory over their dangerous hosts from 1pm.

Kilcock have been well represented at this level in recent years by Daniel Courtney and Jason Gibbons, both of whom won Leinster titles before falling at the All Ireland semi final stage and Nairn will be hoping to replicate their achievements.

Findlay is joined on the panel by club mate Lee Loughnane but unfortunately for Lee he is currently out with a hand injury.
