A hat-trick of goals from Caroline Griffin helped her side Blackhall Gaels capture some end of season consolation silverware as they defeated neighbours Kiltale 4-10 to 3-10 in the Meath Camogie Division 1 Shield Final today.
Despite trailing by 2-8 to 4 points at the break, the girls found their form in the second half to turn a ten point defecit into a three point win, with county star Kristina Troy hitting an injury time winner, to finally overcome a very good Kiltale team.
Captain Siobhán Whitty collected the Shield on behalf of her teammates.
In the world of Harry Potter, Gryffindor is one of the four Houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, founded by Godric Gryffindor. Godric instructed the sorting hat to choose a few particular characteristics he most values. Such character traits of students sorted into Gryffindor are courage, chivalry, and determination and there is no doubting that Caroline and her team mates had bucket loads of this today.
